The market is happy with BS-80
Our proprietary gear drive has been widely used in rail yards and industrial tracks. The BS-80 switch motor has a free-flowing hydraulic valve, which means that the switch motor can be driven up. This also applies in the event of a power failure. The motor is operated from the locomotive by the driver via a control box with a push button (can also be remotely controlled). An illuminated arrow provides clear information about the position of the switch.
Reliable and cost-effective
The service-friendly gear drive can be replaced in approximately 15 minutes. BS Verkstäder always supplies spare parts from its warehouse in Falköping. Since we began manufacturing the BS-80 25 years ago, approximately 800 gear drives have been installed at Swedish railway yards and industrial tracks. The product's reliability and serviceability have made it a cost-effective first choice for several major railway yard owners.
